Told ya they would return! I have been working on these for a while now, re-designing old characters as well creating new ones. I want to give BechnoKid a huge thanks for helping me out trough the process and cheering me on!
Soooo, twelve characters huh, four being completely new and one who has only been seen once. Let’s go trough some info about them!

Stella: Stella’s outfit has not changed much, only some colour fixes and minor changes, her old designs can be found here: queenofcuttlefishes.deviantart…
Stella is the younger sister of Jack. During her childhood she and her brother spent their time playing together and practicing on playing piano, a long time favourite hobby of them, but as years passed and Jack changed from a friendly young man to a wild maniac she too changed. She has grown very cold and emotionless, but she still hang around with her brother after they left their home. She wields a staff with two mace-like ends on each side, which she can deliver heavy and very painful blows with.

Jack: Well this is not the Jack we’re used to see, this is Jack before he got overtaken by a parasite commonly known as a “void worm”. You can read his story at his new and up to date reference sheet!: queenofcuttlefishes.deviantart…

Pandamma: She was originally called “Panamma” but I decided to add the D mostly to not make her name sound like a country, and then it ended up being even more panda like, oh wow. Her old design can be found here: queenofcuttlefishes.deviantart…
Pandamma’s design is, obviously, based of the giant panda! She’s a boxer and is often seen walking around in her boxing outfit, as she feels very comfortable and confident in it. She also really like big bows and wears a blue one to match her natural blue colour.

Cleo: Goddess I miss Cleo so! She has gone trough an outfit change but she is still that bubbly and jolly girl she always has been! Her old design can be found here: queenofcuttlefishes.deviantart…
Cleo works on a café and lives at her own little house, she’s also the owner of a small air ship, it’s not much bigger than two normal hot air balloons combined and some times she flies around with it to just enjoy the view. She’s also in a relationship with Axel, and she loves him with all her heart! She’s a very energetic person and always wants something to do and she can be very hectic at times. Living with such speed most of her days she tends to not watch her steps and can be very clumsy at times, but she’s starting to learn to calm down more.

Monic: Monic has mostly gotten a colour scheme fix, god her previous colours were a mess. Her old design can be found here: queenofcuttlefishes.deviantart…
Monic’s story does not start on the Balatrum’s home planet Balum, but on a snow covered planet called Zuriec. She was born there and lived there until she was seven years old. She was sent away to Balum after her parents had gone mysteriously missing. She grew up to be one mysterious and quiet lady, she spends most of her time observing her environment and the people in it. When not chilling about she’s often seen somewhere on the roof tops. Her major skill except observation is parkour, and she uses this skill to cross vast distances across the city she lives in.

Tex: Tex has gone through a lot of changes, his old design can be found here: queenofcuttlefishes.deviantart…
I have made Tex older now and less scaredy cat-y than he was before. He’s still young tho and he tends to act courageous, but that courage doesn’t last very long. His design is based of the tiger, and in this re-design I also kept the theme of a circus in mind, giving him pants similar to those acrobats often wear and a more fancy look over all. He’s pretty well skilled in combat and has been often spotted along with Monic, but little is known about their relation.

Kaiai: Kaiai is a completely new Balatrum character! She’s based of the showa koi fish, and I decided to give her a round shape to fit the cute chubby look of the fishes! She’s a very happy young lady and has recently grown a friendship with Cleo. She often visits the café where Cleo works and they eventually began talking and found common interests.

Cobuuma: Another completely new character. Cobuuma’s colour scheme, a little of her design, and her name as well was based of the purple columbine flower. Cobuuma has strong psychic powers and uses them to levitate and carry things, she’s also has a career as an illusionist and runs a big show where she plays her tricks. She often has a ghostly look thanks to her long dress and levitation ability.

Airett: Airett is not as new as you might think, those who has followed my Balatrums has most likely seen her once before when she went by the name “Anny”. She’s in fact the same Balatrum seen to the right in this picture!: queenofcuttlefishes.deviantart…
Airett is a childhood friend of Cleo and they still hang out to this very day. Airett is way calmer than her jolly pink friend but seems to have no problem with Cleo’s high energy level. Airett works as a fashion designer and she’s very happy and proud of her work. She often wears something on her head, usually leaning toward the right as she feels a little un-even due to how her hat curls. Most of the time it’s the tiny hat you can see right here.

Axel: Not too much has changed with Axel, he’s still in the military and he’s still a friendly lad. His old design can be found here: queenofcuttlefishes.deviantart…
Axel follows the footstep of his father, grandfather, and great grandfather of serving the military forces of Balum. He is often seen wearing the common military uniform wherever he goes. He likes law and order but did not feel a judge was his right job, but he makes sure that wherever he is the law is followed. He’s in a relationship with Cleo and he does his very best to meet her whenever he can, and he loves her to bits!

Jooju: More newcomers! Jooju is the father of Jack and Stella, his son obviously got the traits from his father. Before Jack fell ill and everything spiralled downhill Jooju was a very calm and happy man. He worked at a fancy and expensive club as a pianist and spent many night hours playing songs there. He taught his skills to his son and was more than overjoyed when he noticed how talented Jack was. To this day he still plays at the same club, but he’s rarely as happy as he used to be, but he tries to stay strong.

Rieel: Rieel is all new as well. She’s the mother of Jack and Stella, and clearly the one Stella got her traits from. Rieel works at the same club as her husband but serves as a hostess, welcoming people, taking care of booked tables and what not. She too was much happier before things became a nightmare for her family, and during the later days her colours seems to not be as bright as they used to be. She’s happy she has her husband by her side, but she wishes so dearly her children could come home again.
