Here's a free to use base for anyone who wants to create their own Skifers. I sadly don't have a finished Species sheet yet, all I can share so far is this (messy) text from an earlier image:

"Skifters can alter their body parts at will as long as they have the energy to do so. The only thing that stays when they morph is their eyes, claws, hooves and markings (if they have any). The size and shape of the eyes, claws and hooves can vary when morphing but the markings however stays the pretty much the same, usually it's only the size that changes and how it follows the body part the marking is on. When Skifters are not morphing they are as solid as humans and other mammals.

Skifters appear genderless but are known to take, what appears to us to be gendered features, if they please, as well as gendered identities. How Skifters reproduce is not fully known but they do birth live young and nurse them for a long period of time, alike most mammals on Earth. Skifters can have up to 1-3 children each pregnancy. New born Skifters are very small and lack claws and hoves, instead they have nubby little fingers and a tail instead of legs, the tail will split into nubby little legs eventually and the hooves will begin to develop.

Skifters has a very soft texture to their skin, much alike the softest and smoothest parts on human skin, they also appear in many colours but always muted/low saturation, their skin cannot be brightly coloured. Skifters always has two sets of eyes. Their sclera is either black or almost black with a hue of any colour while their irises can appear in exactly any colour except solid black or have the same colour as the individual's sclera. Skifters amount of claws/fingers varies from 3-5, but they always have 2 hoof "nails" on each foot. The markings on a Skifter is usually made up by lines and circles, how many markings Skifters has varies, some has none while some has many. They are commonly around 3 meters tall, give or take. Skifters can have growths on their head like horn- or tail-like growths, but they are not of the same material as their claws and hooves, instead the growths are of the same material as their flesh. Some Skifters tail splits in three in the baby form and they can grow a tail out of the third part. Many Skifters look like they have no mouth but in fact they do, they simply keep it hidden, while some prefers to keep it visible.

Some Skifters has psychic powers and the ammount they have varies greatly, some has no psychic powers, while others has just a little or average, and some has a lot. There are those with incredible amount of psychic powers and they are often feared or highly respected. Skifters can use these powers to warp to other worlds, which is the only known way of them visiting other planets than their own.

The average life span of Skifters is unknown."

Now this base features a Skifter with 5 fingers, but if you can and want to it's totally okay to edit the base to only have 3 or 4 fingers.

• Do not remove my signature of the base, you may add your own signature when you are finished, but it cannot cover mine.
• Credit me for the base and the species.
• This is a MS Paint friendly base!
• Feel free to Doll over the base!
• You may give your Skifter different features than the ones to the left, like longer horns, longer "hair", 3-4 horns, different frilly parts, and so on. Just don't make it too different from the features in the base.
• Skifters can have patterns on their skin, but they are simple, don't make your Skifter look like a tropical fish or a tiger.
• Make sure to actually read the text above so you don't make easily avoidable mistakes in the colouring.
