This guy has been in the making for over a year, but I never kicked myself hard enough in the ass to go and actually draw him until now. I hope you guys enjoy him!

Backstory:

Solar Roar is at this point a living legend. He spent the majority of his time on Cybertron as a guard of Iacon, his shimmering draconic form patrolling the skies and responding to incidents on the ground as well. He also held the title as Champion several friendly duel events (in difference from the brutal Gladiator sports in Kaon).

Before the war Solar knew a gladiator from Kaon named Vanquisher, who at the time was in a relationship with his fellow gladiator Megatron. Solar and Vanquisher formed a strong bond and Solar found himself looking out for Vanquisher a lot although he knew he could fend for himself. Unknown to him his strong protectiveness for his friend was in fact romantic feeling simmering in his spark. As tension raised on Cybertron, and Solar noticed the way Megatron acted he stressed Vanquisher to leave him before thing got worse.

As the war began and raged on, Solar Roar had joined the Autobots, while Vanquisher understandably had joined his partner and in turn the Decepticons. Solar Roar and Vanquisher still met in secrecy, and some time into the war he learned that Vanquisher was plotting behind Megatron's back. Him and fellow Decepticons did not like how cruel their leader and faction had turned and wanted to break off from the Cons. Vanquisher formed the Luccecons, and Solar Roar decided to join, fighting with the Autobots for now until the time was right.

As the great Exodus of Cybertron approached Solar Roar abruptly parted ways with the Autobots to join Vanquisher for good. Stealing the Decepticon battle ship The Oath Keeper, the Luccecons set sail into deep space to begin their own mission to find a way to restore Cybertron and unite their people. It was during the early stages of this journey that Solar Roar made his true feeling for Vanquisher known, and the two became a loving pair. Together now they travel from world to world seeking powerful artefacts and allies, still striving to one day return home and bring their planet back to life.

Solar Roar's main ability is to absorb light and convert it into his own energy and power. He can absorb any kind of light and reflect it back against his opponent either as light or as energy. While light might only blind and burn people, energy can shoot out like projectiles.

It's unknown what the true origins of his power comes from, but being a living legend some say he absorbed the light of an entire sun.

A branch off from his light manipulation; he can use the stored energy in his frame to shoot back as a laser beam from his mouth, both in root-mode and in alt-mode.

Solar can levitate without the aid of thrusters or wings.

He uses a lot of mass shifting between transformations, as the majority of his alt-mode's length goes into his tail in root-mode.
