Jared hikes one leg over the window sill-or he tries to but the dress from hell is all... fluffy with too much material at the bottom and not enough around his hips and it catches on his thigh before Jared's leg makes it over and he loses balance, flailing as he falls to the floor with a not-so muted, oomph. He struggles back up, pulls his blue skirts up to his neck and tries again, maneuvering out of the third story window until he's out and holding on to his lattice work, looking into the study where he was supposed to be demurely waiting for Prince Ackles, his over-glorified and pretentious fiance. And Jared get that he has to do it to help his family, but damn it he's going to do it on his own terms for once, not as... Princess Trista (or preferably at all), he thinks as he starts to carefully make his way down the lattice, thankful that he had enough presence of mind to ditch the shoes in the study. He's making good, if precarious, progress when, "I'm not that unappealing, am I?" scares him and makes him lose his footing; he panics and his grip slips and he starts to fall, the shout below him matching his own, when his fall is abruptly stopped and a loud rip fills the air. Opening clenched eyes Jared sees that the damned dress is caught up in the lattice and he's helplessly upside down, half a story from the ground and face-to-face to Prince Jensen Ackles.
