It's quite hard at first, but you get used to it after a while LOL I used Photoshop for this sprite but Microsoft Paint works perfectly as well. It helps if you start with the lineart (as always) and then just fill in the basic colors, and then refine and shade with complimentary colors and shading/highlights. Good luck~!
