Please excuse my rambling, I like to talk a lot.

...OH HEY LOOK I ACTUALLY DREW SOMETHING FOR ONCE. *shot*

Anyways. This is my contest entry for #WarriorCatsClaim 's current contest. I was the one who was really pushing for crossovers (listed as "The Warriors world conencted with another novel/film/game"), but apparently no one likes them.D8 You all suck.*shot and killed*XP So after talking some things over with ~NoreyDragon , she said it would be okay to still incorporate a bit of crossover theme so long as I didn't deviate too far away from Warriors. So, since my head has been stuck in SoulSilver for the past week or so, I decided to do a Pokémon crossover.

I chose to cross Firestar with a Flareon because Flareon was the first Fire-type Pokémon that came to mind which could pass as a cat yet still look like a Flareon. (Yes, I know Firestar is not that poofy; for those who don't know Pokémon, those are Flareon traits.) I toned down the tan ruff and tail so that they were more of a reddish colour to match Firestar's pelt a bit more. I also changed the tuft of fur on Flareon's head to match a bit more with the Graystripe/Ravenpaw manga style, which is what influences a lot of my drawings. Some not-so-easy-to-tell changes are in the build of the body; Flareon is a rather stocky Pokémon, but here I made it more lean like a cat's, as well as sized down its ears so they weren't so fox/rabbit-like. Same goes for its tail, originally it was extremely poofy.

Yes, it is using Fire Spin. It was either that or Lava Plume, which I had absolutely no freaking clue how to draw.

Now, I need to complain a bit like I always do, even if I end up relatively happy with how things turned out. Dear lord, I do not want to know exactly how many layers this thing ended up with.D8 Waaayyy too many, in my opinion. I originally started colouring it in a white/no-line style that I really love doing, which you can see in some of my older works like The Cat and The Dog and Black Steel , but in the end I decided to give it a black background/outline kinda thing, which was murder to do and the main reason for all those layers, but it made it easier to do a background when it came to the end. I think I rather failed with the fire, but admittedly I didn't have a freaking clue what I was going for with it and I didn't want to download fifty brush packs just to find the ones I wanted.XP'

Yeah...I think that's it. I'm probably going to go back over this and edit it up until the contest deadline, since I'm just realizing now that I totally forgot to attempt any shadows. I may also submit a second entry for the contest, depending on if I can work a theme into our current Printmaking unit or not.

...No, I does not haz a Flareon yet. I evolved my original Eevee from Bill into an Umbreon , 'cause it's natures were just begging for an Attack boost to compliment Umbreon's naturally mega-high defenses.XP
