With all the vacations I was taking this month, I never thought this would get done...and yet here it is. Finished on time.

Anyways. This is my entry to #WarriorCatsClaim 's current contest, for the crossover category. Almost as soon as I saw that "crossover" was one of the categories, I knew I wanted to do a Soul Eater crossover (though I did toy with Okami a bit in the beginning). Mudkip. Once I had that down, I also knew that I wanted to include Maka and/or Soul, since they're my favourite weapon/meister pair. So I started thinking about which cat from Warriors would be a good substitute for Maka (since it'd be funner drawing the weapon ), and for some reason Squirrelflight entered my head and stuck. Evolved. So I decided to draw Squirrelflight holding Soul in his weapon form.

The design for this drawing has changed probably at least two or three times since I started thinking about this. At one point I had a design where Brambleclaw was the scythe that Squirrelflight was holding instead; I ended up scraping it in the end 'cause I didn't draw it very well. ._.' Into. In the end I settled on this design, with just Squirrelflight and Soul.

I had one hell of a time drawing it out; I sketched it with pencil first, then scanned in the drawing, outlined it in SAI, then saved it as a PSD file so I could finish colouring in Photoshop. Monferno. And I actually spent time trying to shade for once in my life. For my first attempt in this kind of style, I think it turned out pretty good. ._. I may still go back over it and edit it before the deadline, try and darken the shadows a bit more or something.
