Description
Is it still jumping on a bandwagon when the trend passed months ago? Either way, I wanted to have a go at some Pokémon variations...and mainly ended up doodling mutated hybrid weirdos.I tried to keep all the hybrids from the Human-Like egg-group...all except for the last sad, sugary specimen.
Kelly-Hopkinsville
Sableye x Elgyem
The Kelly-Hopkinsville Sableye is a highly intelligent variety, characterised by its insatiable curiosity. This breed has a friendly, playful temperament, and gets on especially well with children.
Kelly-Hopkinsville Sableyes have little sense of personal space, and if not properly trained, will sneak out of their trainer's house at night, and make a nuisance of themselves peering through the neighbour's windows and tapping on the roof.
Brimstone
Sableye x Magmar
This variety is reasonably common in the wild, found in volcanic regions where crystals are plentiful, and Magmar and Sableye habitats overlap. This breed is difficult to keep in captivity, as it favours extreme temperatures and a diet of molten rock.
Fairy
Sableye x Volbeat
A miniature ornamental variety with dramatic sexual dimorphism, prized for the bioluminescent crystals on its back. This hybrid adapts well to domestic life, being small, docile, and preferring a diet of nectar over the gemstones usually favoured by Sableyes.
Elegant
Sableye x Gothitelle
This hybrid was created by Pokémon breeders in the hope of combining the attractive jewels of a Sableye with the frills and feminine poise of a Gothitelle, creating a striking but elegant contest breed.
They did not wholly succeed.
Oh god, NO! / "Harlequin"
Sableye x Mr. Mime
This breed is rare, as it's astonishingly difficult to find a Sableye willing to mate with the Mr. Mime.
Rock-Candy
Sableye x Slurpuff
The fruit of an extensive cross-breeding effort, this hybrid is a popular ornamental breed. As this variety has parents from different egg groups, successful conception is rare, with viable specimens fetching a high price among enthusiasts.
The ethics of breeding this variety have recently come under scrutiny, in light of the health problems these creatures suffer - where a purebred Sableye would have crystal, this variety instead has pure sugar. As a result, this variety is blind, has brittle sugar-candy bones, and a skin that becomes distressingly sticky when wet. Enthusiasts maintain that this breed is unintelligent but very loving, albeit with an alarming tendency to chew on themselves when stressed, hungry, or bored.

I think the mr. Mine cross should be called Pennywise.

Haha, I don't know which makes me laugh more, the illustrations or the descriptions that goes with them! xD I love the Mr. Mime one. The design looks solid to me and the description on the Slurpuff one is a nice one as it rings true when it comes to breeding for looks rather than health. All in all brilliant work yet again.
