You woke up just in time for watching the sunrise; the rays of light were illuminating the field of red roses in which you were seated. You turned around. You didn't know how you have ended up there, but you didn't mind; the scenery was beautiful, you wanted to remember it your whole life.

"Good morning milady.", you heard a familiar voice exclaim. "Nice view, don't you think so? The weather is fine, ideal for going for a stroll. You must have woken up really early; didn't you milady?"

"Yes.", you responded smiling. "By the way, Sebastian, there's no need for you to call me "milady" every day you see me; you can call me (y/n) if you want."

"Yes, milady.", he said teasingly. Haha, he doesn't understand; he's always playing jokes on me.

You stood there, lost in thought, until Sebastian proposed to give you a tour around the garden.

"We should go to the maze. It is fun to be there... You know... to get lost and everything; it is quite a new experience." A maze? There's a maze in here? I haven't noticed that.

"Fun!? To get lost!?", you shrilled.

"I didn't know you were such a scaredy cat, (y/n).", he uttered mockingly.

"Scaredy cat! I'm not a scaredy cat!, you reacted angrily. "It's just that... I'm worried because this mansion is too huge and confusing, which means it is easy to go missing."

"Sounds more like an excuse to me.", Sebastian said doubtfully. "Let's make this day interesting. To prove that you're not a scaredy cat, you're going to accompany me and the both of us will play hide-and-seek in the labyrinth."

You gazed numbly at him, not believing what you have just heard. Sebastian!? Play!? Hide and seek!? His purpose can't be good; he wants to entertain himself by making me suffer.

"I don't think it is a good plan. I don't like hide and seek; it isn't fun.", you complained as you crossed your arms.

"(y/n), I didn't know you were also prickly.", he cried out, half laughing half outraged.

"I'm sorry.", you mumbled. "I didn't mean to offend you. Come on! Let's play! I will accept whatever comes."

"It is unusual to see you so cheerful (y/n). I'm glad for you; you've finally accepted your fate. Let's see what the future holds for you!" Sebastian gave a shriek of delight and dashed to the warren.

"Wait!", you bellowed as you headed out after him. *Great!* I'll need good luck. Sebastian is behaving very oddly. I must stay alert. He continues to be a threat; never mind if he's friend or foe.

You reached Sebastian at the maze entrance. You were shocked at how enormous it was; you stunned, you couldn't even blink.

Sebastian studied you profoundly. "You look astonished... I wonder why.", he cued .

"I'm startled. I didn't expect it to be so... spectacular.", you replied. In fact, the maze was surprising not only in size, but also in appearance. It was covered with black and white roses, which had dark purple stems, and intrincate spider webs, a daunting scene yet interesting.

"Now... Shall we begin?", Sebastian asked, his voice sounded a bit exasperated.

"Yes.", you grumbled, then laughed nervously.

"Well... Now I'm going to explain you the dos, don'ts and rules of this game.

"But...", you protested firmly.

"I proposed the game, you agreed to play, you must follow whatever order I dictate whenever I dictate it.", Sebastian cut you dryly as you spoke. "Did you understand?"

"Y-Y-Yes.", you muttered.

"Perfect.", he said clapping his hands. "As we've already settled this affair, we can continue with the game rules. The first one is: 'The game itself begins at the center. Each of us will search for it alone and meet the other there. If I arrive before, I'll wait for you and vice versa.'; the second one is: 'No artificial light source is permitted; we'll guide ourselves with the pure sunlight. This applies throughout all the game, including the "pre-start".' and the third and last one is: 'We can't hide behind the bushes. The objective, literally, is to get lost... It's really obvious, if you end up in an unknown place, surely it will happen to others; the trick is to fool your partners."

Sebastian winked at you and walked away. Fool... Hummm... I like how that word sounds; that's what I'm going to do, I’ll get my revenge.

You started your journey confidently, a smirk flourished slowly. You strolled about calmly, contemplating your surroundings, not really paying attention to your path. You were doing exactly what you had been told. Mmm… I must admit getting lost on purpose is easier than I thought.

Suddenly you stopped, your muscles froze and you were scared to death. You were in the middle of nowhere. There was fog ahead, which reduced your visibility; even though, you examined the horizon in search of a familiar spot. You couldn’t perceive neither the Phantomhive Manor nor any renowned Victorian style building. You turned around and watched in amazement as some creepy trees emerged from the ground and attacked you with their branches; you ran quicker than hell. The hallways narrowed while the walls thickened and it seem that, not only there wasn’t a way out, the passages extended with each step you took. You tried to change direction, but discovered that a new wall had appeared in front of you. The maze alters its structure constantly. I must be fast, predict its moves. I knew it… I knew this was going to end up in a disaster.

'If I make another move there'll be no more turning back
Because everything will change and it all will fade to black.'

You darted skillfully, avoiding every obstacle. You bumped into a dark figure unexpectedly; dizziness took over your body, your head swirled and all faded to black as you fainted.

"Well done my dear. Close your eyes, slowly, have sweet dreams. Finally... You're mine. One, two I am coming for you. Three, four better run away. Five, six beg for the Lord's mercy. Seven, eight better play this game. Nine, ten never live again."
