Description This really isn't that impressive... 8I

I feel that there's a missing frame in the peak of her jump, but I did this without anything to use for reference and it's kind of blah dfghj
/flops

I still need to practice animations but hopefully it's something I'll start doing more often! Do you guys have any tips??

What did you use to animate it?

Really nice job!
You're so amazing at your art, did you know that? I sure hope you did, because it's the truth! ^^

make her legs stretch out more and her back curve at the peak. Otherwise it is a real good animation!

Maybe do a frame of her legs stretching out more at the end of jumping up? really cute though! :3

OME MORE IM SORRY have the tail follow the curve of the body! its too stiff and straight at the moment, let it curve!

also stretch out that body when (torrie??) does up and launches herself off the ground! especially those back legs.

[link] I know this is a red fox, but look how the back legs stretch at the start and then curl up as the fox reaches the peak. also look how you can clearly see the change of weight/mass and balance throughout the jump!

This looks really great!

I think there should be more movement in the tail though. Usually if something is jumping, the tail wouldn't stay straight like that - especially a red panda's. Add some wave to it or something haha. Also maybe move the movement of the head too? Like have it start out lower and sort of bob if that makes sense. It just seems a little too stiff. I love the mouth movement though! I agree that it's messing a frame in the peak but I'm not very advanced with animation so I can't say what. Something though but I can't put my finger on it haha. Really great job though especially with out a reference. Just watch tons and tons of youtube videos of the animal moving. That helps so much.

hmmm, this is a really great start! However, theres not a lot of weight to her, try having her sink into the landing and then straighten. Right now its too light of a landing, so thats where the feeling of 'missing something' is coming from. add more weight in the landing and spring in the jump! [link] see how in this one, when the rat lands it dips down and then straightens back up? and when it goes to jump too, you can see the weight being thrown forwards up into the air, and then landing forcefully back down on the ground again.

Ah, okay!
I'm in an animation class with a ex-Disney animator, so I've had some structural foundation with this.
You need to make sure things move in arcs, not just jumping, but all movement, because it's natural. And you should worry about weight and momentum, because the center of mass on a jumping object will move.
Ahhh that's it really! Don't be afraid to exaggerate with animation, squash and stretch are reallllyyyy important to making sure things don't look stiff.

Also ugu what a cutie.

i love the idea of the movement!
umm.. tips.. not much practice here either, but umm.. i dunno ;3;
if anything.. smoothness of movement, but this is obviously a sketchy practice, so that would be dumb to say.

Thank you! Hahaha it's definitely not very smooth but I'm hoping to add some in-betweens or something! 8D
I think it's just not as bouncy as I'd hoped it'd be! SOON

tweeners are the necessity for animation. that much i know.
i think as for the bounce, adding more motion to the movement down from the jump itself may help (legs reaching more towards ground, tail movement and such, ya' know... gravity.)
