No, all the characters have amnesia so we know nothing about their backstories till we get flashbacks via the dms choosing of timing. Our last session had a tiefling barbarian remembering that she killed her entire family because she had been mind controlled.

Secret backstories, we rolled for what our class would be and that dictated our backstories.
