Will there be astromech droids in this comic? I'm just curious.

No, this is a time when droids were just introduced to the world (galaxy?), starting with protocol droids. Astromechs won't arrive until about ten years after the events at the end of this tale.
(Though now that I think about it, it would be cool to write an R2-D2 origin story as well...I'll put that into my receptacle of possible future ideas.)
