*Note, this is a map l developed for my own fan fiction, and it is not to be used by anyone else, or any of the elements that make up the island.*

So here's a fairly simple map of Tourmaline Island from my Wings of Fire Fan Fiction. Basically the shape and layout is all that's accurate, as the free version of Inkarnate doesn't have very many options to choose from, so the shape of buildings/mountain ranges/trees are mostly inaccurate. While it's not super large (probably about the size of Pyrrhia's Ice Kingdom), there are a few different biomes, which make it suitable for different dragon tribes. It was the large Island between Pantala and Pyrrhia which the fleeing dragons mistook for Pyrrhia as seen in book 14.

Some context on some of the things I've created in my story:

Tourmaline Island Academy: I discussed this with a friend, and we both thought that a school much like JMA, but in between Pantala and Pyrrhia, would be a nice idea. And so Tourmaline Island Academy was born. I tried to choose a gemstone which is typically seen to have many different colours, in order to give the idea of a school which accepts all kinds of dragons. The school is built into a mountain, much like JMA, but it has multiple entrances leading to different areas.

The Continental Bridge: I mean, how else were Pyrrhian and Pantalan dragons supposed to get between the two continents with ease. It was a big job in which many of the tribes contributed. Where it wasn't possible for the bridge to be built by normal means, Animus magic was used, mostly for the struts which hold the bridge up out of the water, at least where Seawings couldn't do the job. There are multiple buildings on some of the larger islands which are used for travel, particularly with dragons who have flight difficulties, such as young Silkwings and dragons with defective wings. The bridge connects the two continents between Dragonfly bay and the Sand Kingdom.

Town of Oasis: It's mostly a town where dragons stay while passing through from one Continent to the other. Some of the relatives of those at Tourmaline Academy live in the town so that they can be close by, many of which are the families of those who work/teach at the Academy.

Trade Post: Almost all of the items and food used on Tourmaline Island come through this trade post. Often things are delivered to this trade post while dragons are travelling through in order to keep the Island running, and so the dragons will often travel to this trade post in order to collect the things they need.

Landmarks: This consists of the Sunstone Dunes, Tourmaline Lake, the Jade Forest, the Spinel Delta, Opal and Ammolite Bay, and the Mountain Range on which TIA stands. While the Sunstone Dunes and the Spinel Delta are rarely used (Sandwings and Mudwings sometimes travel to these locations), the Jade Forest and Tourmaline Lake are both used often by TIA due to them being so close to the Mountain where it's located. Opal Bay and Ammolite Bay are also reasonably easy to access, and so Seawings tend to spend days off there, hunting and swimming.

The Emerald and Turquoise Isles: While these may not be mentioned on the map anywhere, as they're concepts I came up with after the map was done, Emerald Isle is like the halfway point between Pantala and Tourmaline Island, while Turquoise Isle is the halfway point between Pyrrhia and Tourmaline Island, creating three major resting points along the continental bridge. These Isles are just groups of small islands bundled together, which the dragons have built shelters on in order to rest during their travels. There are between 4-6 shelters built on each small island that is used in these Isles, where dragons will stay in order to regain their strength.
