Such a dominant perspective. I think you have captured the essence of falling very well. And height.
I find this very impressive.

wow this comment was somehow different from all the others. why? because u used this:"I find this very impressive"
i never heard this and certainly not in anyone stating their opinion
thank u

You are welcome. I think it is sad sometimes the level of stupidity that permeates the comments on this website. If only there was a filter to block everyone who has ever said "d00d! this rocks!" as a comment.
But I have to admit I am not sure what you are talking about entirely. Surely you have had people tell you your work was impressive before, your gallery is very good. What did you mean by that?

leesaf In reply to leesaf [2005-10-20 07:42:23 +0000 UTC]
Well, I agree with what you are saying about sometimes being able to go back and comment more in depth on a deviation when you have had more time to think about it. For example, I was thinking about this one, Abstract Fall today when I was driving to school and it occured to me why I liked it so much. Much of the architectural photography that is on this website is uninspired and dull. It may be beautiful, but that is more the result of the architect than the photographer. However, I think this photograph has trancended that barrier and has become something meaningful all of its own. There is something about the angle of the shot and the way the perspectival lines draw in the gaze that I am quite sure is not there in the staircase alone. It is that distinction which elevates architectural photography above something that is just a simple photograph of a beautiful building, and also why I like this one so much.
However, I still think there is a large portion of the members on this site that will comment without even giving a thought to what they are talking about. Yes, sometimes it makes more sense just to say that you like something rather than why; there may not always be a why. But I was more speaking against the propagation of comments just for comments sake that don't really say anything. In some respects I think it could almost be insulting to the artist just to look at something and say "cool". It almost implies that the artist is waiting for every miniscule compliment to boost his ego, rather than working toward improvment. But I guess that is the difference between a deviation that has been marked for Advanced Critique and just Critique isn't it?

well..let's just say u used it in a whole sentence and also a smart one . but i am sure impressive i've never heard either. and no. i can somehow disagree with the short comment block
i find myself in a hurry sometimes but i still can't get my hands off DA. so,just in case i forget to later, i add a comment if i really like something, or just fave it. or, and this happens rarely, i absolutely have no idea why i like a deviation
