I've had this as WIP for so long and I'm so glad I was finally able to finish it. I really wanted to word on lighting and shading and am pretty happy with how it turned out.

The characters are Jaspereye and Jayflight. Jaspereye used to be a kittypet named Jasper and when he was young he befriended a still apprenticed Jaypaw. They would meet for a long time in their childhood until, after witnessing the young one eyed kittypets abuse from his twolegs Jaypaw convinced Jasper to join his clan with him. It did not take long for the shy but sweet kitty to be accepted by the clan and he was soon brought in as Jasperpaw and due to his lack of skill as a hunter or fighter but his gentle nature Jasperpaw was made into the medicine cat apprentice. The two toms grew closer and closer as they grew into the warrior and medicine cat they were trained to be and soon secretly became mates. (It really was no secret to the rest of the clan, the two were very obvious but no one really minded sense their match could never end in kits) Everything was perfect until a battle ended in Jayflights death, leaving Jaspereye devastated and feeling very alone, even contemplating leaving the clan, unable to bare being there with him. This scene depicts Jayflight attempting to comfort his mourning love from beyond the grave.
