Oh god. It's finally here. To everyone who was actually waiting out on this series to continue, I deeply apologize for the inactivity and lack of content/updates. Final year of schooling has been taking its toll and eating up time for this project (plus my general inability to manage time and instead procrastinate). This project is NOT done. I 100% aspire to finish every canon species for the final megamash, but that is still a long ways off.

I've learned three big lessons doing this era. Firstly, as you can see, the detail going into the dragons has increased from the very first batch. To keep quality consistent, before the megamash I may go back and quickly touch up some of the less savoury looking dragons from week 1 (looking at you Nadder and Stormcutter). Second of all, I did NOT expect how time consuming the dragons were going to become, especially thanks to RttE's tendency to have irritating designs, leading me into my third lesson- highly patterned or adorned dragons are HARD. The last two dragons of this batch I did were the Armorwing and Death Song. Around May I started the Armorwing and realised how incredibly frustrating it was to get it right. With some new brushes and techniques I eventually was able to, but not after MONTHS of procrastination. Once I finally got the motivation to finish the Armorwing, I was able to slog through the Death Song, but that dragon and its patterns were an entirely different beast. While not as difficult as the Armorwing, there were just so many intricate patterns that took lots of tries to get right.
That being said, I'm very satisfied with how this batch turned out and I hope you are as well. I will try to be more diligent with the next batch, especially as the species for next time are looking a lot easier than these ones.

This time we have all the dragons introduced in Race to the Edge seasons 1 through 3.

• Cavern Crasher (Mystery)

Watch for next time (??) which will feature various RttE species from seasons 4 - 6 and the bonus Snaptrapper who never got a proper appearance!
