So, uhh, I don't know why this took me so long to upload >": it's a pencil animation I did last semester. otlHer hats supposed to be a strawberry but I couldn't draw the seeds in each frame @n@ hahaha. She collects apples and turns them into life with her magic wagon :p
This was really rushed so it's missing a lot of inbetweens ;u; but it works better as a gif that way haha :P

Yess lol because there is no ctrl+z, no layers, no pressing play while you animate. You have to use hand movements to flip the pages xD Plus you have to take a picture of each frame to convert it to a digital animation. It's so much harder ;v;

Great animation! I remember seeing your animation at school when Kathleen was showing us what her traditional animation class did for their finals. (I was in Art 422-Special Topics class for Digital Animation at that time) It's great running into other CI students on DA. lol
Anyway, did you continue onto the digital animation class? You've got great skills, it would be nice to see more animations.

We've probably ran into each other every now and then. You might have seen my old animation. Kathleen seems to love showing it off for some reason. The animation I did when I took the 315 class was the cat tripping out on cat nip and fish singing the Salmon Dance. lol
I still go to CI and I'll be here for at least 2 years. I'm going to be a senior next year but since my classes got canceled so often it's gonna take me at least 3 semesters to fulfill all of my requirements.
Great animation! Love the backgrounds and the colors you used. How did you like working with Flash?
422 is really just a focus on what you want to do as far as animation. I know kathleen pushes flash animation because it's in such high demand but if you're a pure traditional animator (or you just hate Flash with a passion) she'll let you do a traditional project. The whole class is set up (at least when I took it) as an independent study class. You have the first few weeks to get your storyboards and all of the other prep work done for an animation that is supposed to take you a whole semester to work on. All you have to do really is to show up to class and animate. I enjoyed it a lot more because of that freedom. All Kathleen would do is ask what progress you've made and then go off to teach the 315 class. If you have any questions about the class (or Flash) just let me know.

Aw > - < I had an art class canceled for next semester because there wasn't enough people signed up. I hope that doesn't happen anymore D: I'm going to be a junior next semester but I probly have 3 years left.

Well if you have any questions about classes or even about Flash just let me know. I'm trying to get back into animating as well, so I try and go back to playing with flash every once in a while.
The only problem with all of my animation ideas is that they would take to long because I tend to make it super complex. That's why I liked the 422 class so much. I was able to brainstorm with the rest of the class on how to make my animation simpler... and get some cool ideas. Its too bad that I can't take 422 again for animation. It was a fun class.
