Today me and my husband got our first vaccine shots and were out all day, but I was prepared with sketching supplies. Because I really did not want to "break the chain" of The 100 Day Project ... so as I anticipated a lot of waiting, I thought I would use it to create something. Good thing too, since I would have missed out otherwise!
After a little imaginary watercolor/gouache landscape I thought, what am I doing? I mean, how often have I thought that I'd love to be out sketching and painting my surroundings but had numerous excuses to avoid it. And then there I was...
As all waiting people in the waiting area were seated facing the same way, there was not much but peoples back to look at. So I painted someone's back first. Then I turned it into a question and observation game of people walking past. What catches my eye? Where does my gaze stay just a little bit longer? Why? What was it that caught my attention for longer? And finally, my favorite part... in the 5 seconds that it took someone to walk past me... what do I remember? And then put it down quickly before I forget 😂Challenging and fun

Now my left arm super sore and I'm very sleep deprived...
