Description
Day 87/100 with 10 monotypes. It was an international (traditional) print day, called printdayinmay, which is held everyday first Saturday of May. Many come together and make prints to submit for fun, community, recognition and contest. There are many sponsors, prizes and live streams. Before corona time it was also a time of workshops, people gathering and printing together, studio visits and inn general more of a community centered event... but now it's all just digital.
Anyway, in the meantime, out of the blue, I was called into get my second vaccine shot and it was a hassle trying to delay it by a day. The appointment was scheduled and sent by SMS requiring attendance. with no clear way to reschedule. What a hassle.
Much of the day was lost with that headache and I wasn't able to do all the things I wanted to do. My plans were to make a drypoint print from sketch to final on that day, do a livestream of my studio while revealing the first test print.
What I managed to make were 10 monotypes, a pile of sketches and drawings which I did not photograph separately (yet?) the start of the drypoint in an extremely rushed way, test proof which was not properly photographed as I saw somethings that needed adjusting...
I will try to post these in the extra folder when I get a chance.

For the tunnel art, did you remake them each, or just edited?

I painted on a gelliplate with ink and then pressed a paper on it to transfer the art. Sometimes there were bits of ink left on the gelliplate that didn't transfer to the paper but instead of wiping it clean I just continued on the same surface. So at times you can see a "ghost" of previous version, which is the some faded bits that I then add and paint on and remove paint from etc. I hope this answers your question 😊
