so i gotta ask...since i took virtually the same shot and it didn't work...is this an hdr, or combination of more than one image?

its a layer mask of two exposures of the same scene. i took an exposure for the room and one for the window, pasted the exposure for the room as a new layer over the window exposure, added a layer mask, and painted in the window.
