Description
After creating my Planet Earth in Blender 2.71 I read about the close pass of asteroid 2014RC (Pitbull) today which inspired me to create an apocalyptical image using Blender so here it is. The advancing sun was created by applying a stucci texture to a sphere, fiddling around with the settings and adding an amount of emission to create the glow.Related content

yeah well since it seems like this is the sun that is about to destroy the earth you have to consider a few things.
there cant be any other light than the sun
the sun would be a lot bigger
Other than that this is pretty cool. Especially the earth texture is really well made
