Description
Download for full view!I used official images as reference for both the prince and the witcher, and as someone pointed out, it's only fair to link the original images I used as reference: [link] [link] .
Took about 3-4 weeks at a few hours daily. I got bored of it and forgot about it. Had it on my hard drive for about 2 months now... still have fo finish the prince's gloves and some detail to add.
The Witcher and the Prince are all copyrighted to their respective owners. This is just a fan art. Please do not copy or claim as your own.

Well thanks. But it was only a tryout, I don't paint that much, but with this piece I took my time.

It's definetely worth the time. I know that too good, as most of my works take a few attempts until I really finish them. The working process just bores too much sometimes^^
You're most welcome

If you re-drawn something post link to original art. Geralt is just a mirror copy of: [link]
You made good job but Geralt is a copy.
Och I know what you feel about tablet. I was in the same situation a year ago...

I did use a reference, it's not a simple copy paste. It's like drawing a portrait of someone, you can't call that a copy. I put the image you linked on my second monitor and used it as reference. And yes, I did mirror it at the end because his swords were covering the price's face. Don't accuse someone of copying until you ask them. Also I fail to see how they might be identical, I mean a blind person could tell they're different, your link has more detail since it's a 3D render...

I know what is copy so please dont teach me.
Its a copy. Why? Reference is when you change 90% of reference art. So when you use just a pose or a small thing of art (like one of sword here).
Its ok I dont think that its a bad thing but you should write something about that in your autor`s comment. I dont tell you that youre a bad person but just realize that people think that you made it just in your head and its not based on anything.
I made lots of copies and thats fine
Portrait isnt copy when you paint/draw it from nature or your OWN photo.
Chill

You make a valid argument, still a copy is a bit inaccurate since it implies 100% likeness. Anyway, sorry for the first hasty reply. I am now searching for the reference images I used and will post them in the description. Also I ended up flipping the whole canvas and now the orientation matches the one in the original reference image. Sorry again for being hasty, and thanks for clearing my head a bit

Im ok dont worry.
I like this art so dont think that Im angry about that.
Could you tell me whose is this "Prince"? Its a character from The witcher or from other game?

staxandy In reply to MsAsharah [2011-11-08 04:47:55 +0000 UTC]
It's the main character from the games Prince of Persia 1, 2 , 3 and 5 (the 4'th Prince of Persia game had a different story with different characters). And it's the character the movie Price of Persia The Sands of Time with Jake Gyllenhaal was based on .

Assassin's Creed is absolutely awesome (all of them). Also Prince of Persia 4 is actually built on the Assassin's Creed engine. They're different, but there is some awesome wall-running/climbing and some parkour in Prince of Persia too.
You should definitely get Prince of Persia, at least the 4'th one, the first 3 are fairly old and have weak graphics, and the 5'th has awesome graphics but isn't as great as the first 3.
Happy gaming
