But one thing I cant get over is how this comic works. How can the mice walk upright; along with knowing speech, having culture and making clothes weapons and armor. nut why do owls, snakes, and other animals seem to be just "mute predators" like they are just normal animals, yet live in a world with animals that have adopted a human-like culture? The animals are still so natural in design (as opposed to making them anthropomorphic) that its honestly jarring to see some animals have human characteristics and others have none. Or are the predatory animals just the "trolls" and "ogres" of this world? Do you have any idea on how it works?

Sir Knight of The Broken i think your overthinking this a tad XD Its a comic a lot of them are far more ridiculous in setting than mouse guard

Im not sure how many youve read but in the latter books it reveals mice are not the only culture, hares and weassels for example have their own homes, tech and beliefs while birds are creatures that can hold conversations with mice while some animals are not smart enough (or able) to make tools/settlements they are still intelligent and choose to work with mice for a mutal benefit

Then you do get owls and foxes which do just seem to be the as you said the trolls and ogres big 'dumb' creatures that attack mice not because they choose to but because they are driven by primal instinct to hunt and reproduce and not much else

That's really nice work. You must have a great fantasy to come up with this. I really like the style you used, it's very fitting. That moon and that butterfly look especially detailed and beautiful. Can't say anything bad about this work! Two thumbs up!
