The idea was to try to capture some of the essence of the Marvel Star Wars stuff from the 70's, y'know, before Lucas felt compelled to try to rationalise it all....when it was still just a sword & sorcery story in space.

Cheers, this was done for a competition on a comic art forum site (Penciljack, not sure if it's still running) quite some time ago. The brief was to create a 'chiaroscuro Darth Vader'.
