I don't know who Jean Reno is I'm afraid, so I can assure you that drawing wasn't based on him. Sounds like he would be a good fit though, since that character is Frenchman (Norman, hence the severe haircut).

Love the shot, the composition is awesome. One thing I enjoy the most is the details of texture and lighting.

Thank you. I knew that the colouring on this was going to be very minimal, so I tried to get texture into the linework.
