Description
So I had a nightmare, kinda a nasty one, I went outside to smoke (bad habit, none of you better start if you haven't already ) and I saw flashes in the distance, thinking sleepily, fireworks, I close my eyes, then I here that tell tale rumble....
I look back at it with renewed interest, pull out my phone and check the weather radar. (in this small amount of time the sky flash again and again, more than twenty times) This storm was over 20 miles away!!
I throw on a shirt grab all my needed items, wallet, camera, keys, tripod, cash, lenses and filters... ANd the phone so I can keep abreast on the storm and take off chasing it.
I arrived at a spot that looked good (US31 and County Line 300) nice little spot with minimal tree coverage, too much traffic on 31 to be an amazing spot but it worked well enough
Storm was south and southwest of me moving eastward, so I aimed south-southwest and got this one, another great one, and a ton of so-so's I was happy.... until the flashes were going across from west to north west too... umm... the storm is south of me.
I called out to the sky "Why you flashing over there! My camera is aimed that way!" The which Mother Nature replied with a long blast of lighting practically north of me at less than 50 meters!!
I was like ---> GAH!!

I pull out the phone and pull up the radar... and waited for it to load Finally it comes up and it showed the the storm has grown, all the way around me a really big "U" of red. Needless to say I kept taking photos until it started to rain.
