"You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain"I've never put a piece together so fast. Pouring out all my emotions over the new kagepro arc. (it's NOT out in English yet, if you're wondering - i saw the japanese spoilers and was in all states of ??!!!! yesterday).
well...it's more like an anti-hero in this case but the phrase still fits with this new timeline lol. But I still love Ayano, even if things have...gotten different.

did she get possessed by the clearing eyes snake? i havent touched kagepro in a long time but i read this chapter bc ayano is one of my all time fav characters. im just kinda lost.

Not gonna lie, it's really easy to get lost with what's going on if you haven't been keeping up. Ayano hasn't been possessed by the Clearing Eyes Snake, though. In this timeline, she got her eye powers at a younger age (when her parents died) and learned about the Clearing Eyes Snake's plans through Azami's memories. However, the strain of Azami's tragic memories have taken a severe toll on her, and she believes that the only way to stop the Clearing Eyes Snake from killing everyone is if she gets rid of Mary first (as Clearing Eyes won't be able to enact his plan without Mary's abilities).

Well, yeah. XD Like I said in the description, she's more of an anti-hero to be honest, but because she wants to kill Mary, Kano, Kido and Seto have turned against her, so it's like she's become the "villain" in her story, even though her intentions are to save them.

There are people on tumblr who are translating it, so that's where I get my updates now. Be warned, they update kinda slowly, since it's only a couple of people working on it I think...but the manga had been on hiatus for a couple of months, and just came back on, so they're only two chapters behind now. They have up to chapter 44 listed here: mekamekasubs.tumblr.com/comics
Alternatively, if you want to get physical copies or Kindle editions of the manga, Yen Press has officially licensed the manga and novels for English release, and has released Volumes 1 - 7 (chapters 1 - 36) so far. They're on Amazon.com, if you want to check it out.
