"...but only one is a legend."So I haven't slept since Friday because I've been coloring this damn thing so I could enter it in time for 's contest for the 10th anniversary of Ocarina of Time. I'm so mad at Zelda... the way I drew her face is an affront to humanity.
All imperfections aside, this was still a great learning experience as far as coloring goes, and I did have fun in spite of everything.

Sketched/inked on paper, then colored with mouse on Photoshop CS3.

Colour really does make good things even better! Awesome work again, it even makes me want to find a copy of the game and try (even though I've almost always been fiercely against Zelda games ^_^)! That's an achievement!

Well, basically I've always hated Nintendo and their games, I'm a Sega fanboy til the end! Plus, I really don't like that fact that Nintendo's main characters never speak or talk during games. It says to me that they basically have no personality.
I dunno, I'm weird like that. Anyways, I did actually play a little of OOT at my friends house not long after it came out but can't really remember much about it. They did make a remake for Gamecube didn't they? I have a GC so could stoop to buying it at some point I suppose. ^_^

Ah, I see, you're a Sega fiend. Well, it's easier not to love Nintendo I suppose; they don't release games very often, and most of the games that look interesting to me are released for other systems... but generally, the games Nintendo does put out are worth the wait, in my opinion. =3 Although, I see what you mean about none of their main characters talking (I think the idea is for you to kind of insert yourself into the main character's place more easily, but it doesn't really work).
They did put out a verson of OOT for the GCN, so I highly recommend hunting down a copy and playing it; it really is a fantastic game

Heh, fiend indeed! >3 Yeah, I can see the aspect of putting yourself into the role easier if they don't speak or anything but I see it as laziness also. Not that I can complain, I'm the King of Laziness most of the time myself! ^_^
Maybe I will at some point. Other than that, the same friend I played the original with also has the GC remake so I could always just borrow it from him instead (He's a big fan too despite also not liking Nintendo and being a Sega boy like myself).

Well, to be fair, my Sega-addict friend likes pretty much all the Zelda games. Then again, I'm also horribly addicted to the PokΓ©mon games (despite my best efforts not to be)! It's terrible, those games are like crack for gamers! >_<
