"...but only one is a legend."So I haven't slept since Friday because I've been coloring this damn thing so I could enter it in time for 's contest for the 10th anniversary of Ocarina of Time. I'm so mad at Zelda... the way I drew her face is an affront to humanity.
All imperfections aside, this was still a great learning experience as far as coloring goes, and I did have fun in spite of everything.

Sketched/inked on paper, then colored with mouse on Photoshop CS3.

I like the coloring, while the face on zelda could be better, I've seen it done similarly for promo art

Thanks! Yeah, I was referencing the original OOT art when I drew this, but the proportions of her facial features are still way off OTL...

Hell yes, well said. Every game (no matter how amazing) I've played since OOT has been a slight disappointment. It could be because it was the game that made me love games, or it could be that it had so much heart, an amazing story, characters, music, puzzles... and it didn't rely on any one of those things by itself to carry the game. *sigh* I could ramble on and on.

Ahh..yes, after one plays Zelda Ocarina of time, Any Zelda game really for that matter, nothing else can compete. It's just pure love and joy..to run through Hyrule, even Links..rather rrepetive little screams while rushing to reach Castle town before the Sun leaves.. or that feeling of joy you always get when reciving the master sword, perhaps..just from playing the game, when one was a small tyke, is what makes it the game of all games.... The Musuic, for love of Farore...the music can be so peaceful, than so sharp, so calming..Zelda's Lullaby, certainly isn't the only Lullaby in the game, and the Bolero of fire, certainly isn't the most powerful-heartbeat-following song....<3 HYRULE WHY CAN'T I LIVE IN ONE OF THE TOWNS IN YOUR WONDEROUR PLACE RATHER THAN HERE T.T

Well said! The music was actually the first thing that drew me to the game. The first song I heard was Song of Storms, and I thought, I MUST PLAY THIS AND LISTEN TO THEIS BEAUTIFUL MUSIC FOREVER. And then, of course, I discovered even more to enjoy.

Kakariko is a good choice. Castle Town is so busy and noisy, plus it's overrun with redeads on occasion... hehe. I would go with either Kakariko or Gerudo Fortress; I know it's the desert, but I love Gerudo culture.
