After two years, this is still my favourite piece of yours. The emotions here are so strong, it almost brings tears to my eyes every time. Turin truly is haunted by his fate.

Well steamey, I don't know what deep dark pit that picture came from, but man oh man, did you do it justice! Wow! My eyes want to move away, but there's no way in hell I can do that. The emotions and drama playing out! I love this in case you were wondering. Really, really love this.

You know someone was trying to convince me Tolkien couldn't write a dark story and I'm like...Children of Hurin.

And that's all? But what about the other parts? I think the whole book is a collection of gloomy bloody stories without a happy ending. As Shakespeare - by the end of the play the whole scene is littered with corpses.

You're talking about the Silmarillion right? Yeah there's a lot of gloomy stories in there, but the Children of Hurin was the first one that sprang to my mind of some reason. And it was more of a criticism of Tolkien, the person in question was irked by how good ultimately triumphs over evil and everything gets resolved with Tolkien's stories, but it's a pretty simplistic way of looking at things.
