I'm sad that it's been long enough since I drew these that it's "the good old days" now... but glad you still like 'em!

Still loving on the MPUV. Β Just realized I had a chance to buy one for a character and am kicking myself that I didn't.
Oh well, something to save up for.

Those were colored and used in the recent Runner's Black Book by CGL, 2012.
Want to see them?

Sure... and pardon my ignorance, but what is CGL? I'm not exactly thrilled that they're reprinting all my old work without so much as mailing me a copy of the books...

Here you are: [link]
I _believe_ I've seen Yellowjacket somewhere, but I am not sure where, can't find it right now.
Also, CGL is Catalyst Game Labs, the current Shadowrun publisher. After that whole embezzlement scandal, when one of their founders used his personal bank account for company business and "mistook" company's money for his own doing house renovations, leaving a bunch of freelancers without the pay they'd already earned, they're not really known for the best business ethics around.

Wow. It's hard enough to make a living as a creative professional, let alone with companies screwing us over as well. Yowch.
Maybe I'm biased, but those color versions look pretty sloppy to me...

Yeah, it was quite a debacle.
Biased as well, I much prefer the old bw SR art. So I dunno :3

Have fun with
If i can ask - did you still own the rights of these works?
I have seen some custom of this CGL-guyΒ΄s and would wonder if the just donΒ΄t thought about. Or donΒ΄t mind.....

I'd have to go back and reread my contracts. Most companies would at least send me copies of the books when they reprinted the images. The one right that was always in my contracts though was the right to reproduce the works in a book or gallery dedicated to showing my body of work. ie: This Deviantart gallery here ; )

What would be the least - in my opinion....
In Germany there are other basic rules for such contracts - i know that American law most time gives the full rights to the one who payes.
ItΒ΄s a personal interest by me if these guyΒ΄s are gone this far to use works illegal, sorry again if this was asked to far into our personal business.
Btw: I see you was the guy who painted a lot of my childhood memories, great stuff that i imagen everytime i play SR again

As I say, I'd have to re-read my old contracts... and after the rights to the games got resold by multiple companies, it's probably hard for any of the current owners to know what rights they do (and do not) have.
So glad you enjoyed my work back in the day! It makes it all worth it ; )
