Description From the Shadowrun "Germany Sourcebook", FASA, 1994.
Another version of the "HackMan" avatar I was so fond of. He's re-routing traffic from cyberspace! It's like the FUTURE...

Nananananana - Hackman!
Love it! I always appreciate clean artworks, done by pencil But I'm curious how your drawings and skills have become even better durning the years.

Thanks! There's some more recent stuff in my galleries labelled Miscellaneous, Video Games, and Film and TV. But to be honest, I think I kind of peaked in 96-97, while I was working on Reboot. I'm sure I could get back to that level with some practice, but the film biz has kept me too busy over the last few years.

It was supposed to be "flammable", ie: for a tanker truck... but I drew it in the days before there were internet translation programs, so my German was probably way off.

You do wonderful art. I found your work only today and I love it.

Without any intention to nitpick, I'd like to tell you that "flammable" in german would be "entzündlich" or "entflammbar." An official term used for declaration of goods would be "hochentzündlich" which means highly flammable. For example it is used as a warning on gasoline.

Anyway, your term sounds like some great band name.

Glad you like my work! All I can say regarding the translation is I did the best I could 20 years ago, with the limited resources available before the rise of the internet

I'm old enough to know the days before the internet.

And you did well with a language, I assume, you have not been fluent in at the time of drawing. Feuerstoff does at least make sense. Unlike some of todays google translations.

I took one term of German in University and had a really hard time of it. I probably got the translation from a friend who has German parents, but was born here in Canada. Glad the word I used at least made some sort of sense!
