Did you ever work with or meet another industry artist named Kevin Long? Β Your style and shading (maybe normal for the period?) have a lot in common. Β Not in a bad way! Β Both of you were heavy influences on my formative years!

Can't say I ever did. My shading style was basically ripped off from Brian Bolland - He made it look so precise and clean, which really fit with my evolving style at the time.

And it was a dark and scary time. If you didn't know what something looked like, you'd have to go take a photo and then send the film to a lab to be developed, which could take days. Or go down to the library and thumb through books and IF you were lucky enough to find a picture that didn't look like mud, take it to a photocopier and hope THAT didn't look like mud, and maybe write notes on the back in ballpoint about what colors the thing was in the original photo.
It's a wonder we survived at all...

Hard time, indeed... I still remember the shame to buy porn at the gas station...
But, on the other hand, we didn't have things like... memes...
or internet on the phone...
and there was a time when a mac was as expensive as a car, but it was worth its money...
Damned, I even remember now my first joy on a Computer.. it was a screensaver from a man on an island...
I want this screensaver back
