Description From the Shadowrun book "Tir Tairngire", FASA, 1993.
The next step in my early artistic evolution. This was when I was *just* starting to put a bit of shading back into my drawings, though I wouldn't get really confident with it until the next year. But at least I was losing my fear of using large areas of black!
Reeeeeally wish I hadn't hand-lettered that flak vest though...

Guy they're coming for: "Man, DMA gets more strict every year."

Just out of mild curiosity, did they request a 'coed' team, or did you do that on your own initiative.

Brings back memories of flipping through that book back in the day...

I did that on my own. There should be no gender limitations on kicking ass!

But you've reminded me of one of the best things about working for FASA - They never told me what to draw. They'd just mail me print-outs of the pages, with empty rectangles where the drawing should go, and then let me draw whatever I wanted. I didn't even have to send thumbnails or the pencils for approval. It was an artist's dream.

I'm pretty sure that rifle will be louder than just "White Noise".

Love the kill markers on his leg, and the pentagram on her... Pistol?

Also, scope on a Mage's Staff, beautiful!

Hah, yes, definitely louder ; )

The scope on the staff was actually an idea of my friend Duncan Shields / SkonenBlades, who posts occasionally here in my gallery. He also has his own DeviantArt page, and I have one of his drawings in my favourites...

Scoped staffs actually make sense considering the way magic works in Shadowrun.

Well, room-to-room fighting typically doesn't need a long-range shot with magic.
