Rotate the bones via the z axis to depress each piano key individually.
If anyone wants to help me with the remaining issues- most specifically how to fix the edgelines not showing up for the white keys- I would appreciate knowing how to fix it. Maybe I need to not only create the keys individually from the original mesh, but resize them? or something?
