Description
Another pic from the last shoot. I was thinking about the background for a while, but somehow I like the contrast and composition, with the crossed diagonals. Hope you like it.model:

Echt?
Danke fΓΌr Dein Lob.

Your right the composition is pretty good.
I was wondering. Do you know this model? I'm no photographer, I'm just curious. It always seemed to me that a shoot like this might breed a terrible tension for the model. Does a model usually bring an escort to ensure her safety with a new photographer? Have you ever approached non-models for shoots?

Thanks for the compliment.
Well first of all with Zeena it is completely different from other models, since we were a couple for1 and a half year. So we know each other pretty good and I am thus in a situation knowing pretty much, what she likes or dislikes.
Tension isn't the right word, if the photographer is professional. There should be some positive vibes and it is the photographers job to try to get the athmosphere right. The best shoots, according to my experience, are those where model and photographer share one vision, when they become "partners-in-crime".
Guards or especially boyfriends should *not* be brought along. They tend to be jealous, because they do not see, that, for the photographer, a session is *work*. Sex has nothing to do with it, usually. And even if the boyfriend is not jealous, him being there will intimadate the model most of the times, because maybe the photographer will see things or sides of the model, the friend hasn't seen yet.
For me it is of tremendous importance not to do anything to harm the model or make her feel uncomfortable. She tells the limits and I will work with that. If I'd dig on my models soon there would not be any left to shoot, I recon.
I usually approach *only* non-models. First of all professional models want money for a shoot, which is absolutely fine with me, since modeling is indeed hard work, but I simply cannot afford to pay them. Secondly I prefer to work with non-models, because their posing quite often is more natural. Thirdly the pro-models become very popular very fast, if they are good looking and professional. So *everybody* wants to shoot them. As much as I like some of theses models, it gets a little boring after a while, since the scene for fetish models in germany is a rather small one with only a few really good models.

Every time I sit down after (or during) a shoot to take a look at what I took, I Ask myself whether I really want to change anything. Most of the times, I just want to give it a try and to me the color-manipulated pics look a lot better, when compared to the originals. I think that has to do with me basically being a graphic-artist/illustrator. I think it all comes down to a more graphical look with strong contrasts.
On this piece I particularly like the difference between her hair and Top and the shiny corset and skirt. While the first appeare almost solid black and flat, the latter do look extremely 3 dimensional. Much better than in the original. So yes, I think I will stay with the color manipulated style for quite some time...

That's cool, but I'm not sure if the chair gets confused with the colours of the corset and skirt? But yea the chair at angles to the floor pannels is nice and the 50/50 split between floor and wall.
