MARX wants your SOUL!For those of you who've been keeping up with the Kirby franchise, you may know of a game called Kirby Super Star, for the SNES.
In this game, the... main villain, if you will... was this crazy character named Marx. Marx wished to dominate Pop Star, and thus became a bit more... monstrous. However, good ol' Kirby came to save the day and took the sinister Marx down.
However...
For those of you who've been keeping up with some of Kirby's more modern titles, you've probably heard of (or even picked up) Kirby Super Star Ultra, a Nintendo DS remake of Kirby Super Star. In it, there's Marx, of course.
But after you've defeated him... just when you think it's all said a done... once you've unlocked a special mode... the fight is far from over.
Now you have Marx Soul, the reincarnated form of Marx. Ever wondered how Marx would look in the afterlife? Here you have it. That's one creepy transformation... You'd have to see both of his forms (and in color) to understand what I mean. It isn't very pretty.
*Literally about an hour after I saw footage of Marx Soul in action (as I had never heard of him until I came across a YouTube video of him), I had pencil and paper in hand. He turned out to be rather challenging... given I was trying to copy his style from some lower quality YouTube videos. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this little challenge. Too bad I'm too lazy to color him in, though. It would probably be a bit more... powerful...

I thought of a way to make him worse than he already is. Just add a sideways, wide brimmed hat,
golden fangs, sunglasses (small enough to see his pupils), a diamond earring, CDs to replace his hexagons, and the latest shoes endorsed by a popular basket ball player.
Now isn't that a scary thought? It also matches with his pendant!

Nah, Marx Soul doesn't want your soul... Moreoreless, he wants Kirby out of the picture. I guess he's called "Marx Soul" because he's in a reincarnated form... He's not dead... but he's not necessarily alive, either.

when face Marx soul i thought he just had just a new look and more powerful looking now until saw the background it wasn't the same battle field i fought him in the background look all dark and messed up don't you think?

"The True Arena" was truelly hard. (I had to use Stone Kirby to get through it.) Marx Soul's appearence was quite a surprise to me, but I managed to beat him. The level you fight him on looked cool, eh?

Well... I've never faced Marx Soul, as I don't have the game, but from what I've seen the arena certainly matches this darker side of him.

I felt getting to Marx Soul was harder then acctually fighting him. (Galacta Knight, whom you fight just before him was much harder.)

Yeah, that happens to me to, but I felt he was easier personally, and had more opertunities to use the charged hammer attack on him. (Especially when he gets dizzy.)

Say, I noticed when Kirby uses Paint on Heavy Lobster, it blinds it.
Does the same happen with Marx Soul?

Paint? I wasn't even aware there was a paint ability in "Kirby Super Star Ultra." I remember a chef ability though.

You can get it by swallowing Heavy Lobster's paint blob, so I've tried.

Anyways, you can get the Paint ability from Marx Sould's paint blob rain attack. However, it barelly does any damage to him, and doesn't really give you any special advantages against him like it did against Heavy Lobster.

I never knew that, (I always assumed the blob was fire or something) I just tried it, and indeed you're right.
I haven't tried it on Marx Soul yet though to see if it works on him.

Yeah, the True Arena was hard, I used the Hammer ability through-out that game (up+B FTW), Galacta Knight and Marx Soul are the hardest bosses in KSSU. You're welcome

I beg to differ. Yours is a bit easier to make out due to not being as cluttered as mine.
