Well SpaceGodzilla's design was based off Super Godzilla. so it's not a surprise to me of the similarities. Did you not know this?

An unfair game but Super Godzilla was unique. Might make a decent movie. I liked Bagan alot for some reason even though you don't see him much

My childhood mind just figured that SpaceGodzilla was a type of SuperGodzilla that absorbed different energy and thus the visual similarities.

That is true too.
I mean logically speaking, you have Super Godzilla whom is Godzilla after absorbing a certain level of power and you have Space Godzilla whom is a Godzilla that absorbed exploding star energy. I think its safe to say they are pretty much the same creature, just with different energy sources.
