Very nice use of the Active mark in the actual design of the shirt. All too often, surf/sport clothing designs toss an image on the shirt and then put their mark above the pocket. I think your integration of the mark makes the shirt more creative and enjoyable to wear, while also serving as a marketing tool.
I think I would've liked to see some of the design element travel up the shoulder a little bit or possibly down towards the base a little more. Not a huge element, but perhaps a butterfly or two just to make the design feel a bit less "placed."

Oh, and I was looking at some comments on some of your other related pieces and saw you mention something about being up for a position as this (active) company. What's the dealio with that?

They want someone to Creative Direct the girls catalog and web presence. I was called into a meeting with the executive management and they wanted to let me know that I was their first choice right now, but that they want to put more money into it and would let me know soon. So, I'm doing everything I can to show them I have the initiative to be in the position. I've been doing work and research at home. Hopefully they see how much I want this position.

Sounds great. If you really want it then I hope you get it. I've looked at the company's current web-presence (the only thing I have access to) and I think you could do some good. Coincidentally I've been doing a lot of talk with other designers about the current status and changes to the design of beach/skate clothing and products, and how it's been moving heavily away from clean/minimal design concepts to work that is still highly functional but also feels warmer, urban, and more "hand-done." Active needs to move that direction to stay on top, but needs to differentiate itself from all of the other countless brands.
I live in Huntington Beach, less than 1 mile from Main St which is nothing but surfing and skating, and they've got the shops to prove it. I go in the shops every now and then and look at what types of clothes are "in" and (mostly) what their posters look like. So believe me, I see this direction and I think you can be an asset to the company.
