The subadult Ceratosaurus knows herself to be cornered. Her legs burn. Her breath comes heavy and labored. The end of her tail smarts where it has been repeatedly nipped. A long chase is rapidly coming down to a fight that only one of them will survive.

She stops running. Claws catch in her hide. She rounds on the Concavenator, jaws open, and takes it by surprise.

She is no one's easy prey.
