Alex seams to have taken a bad step while exploring the swamp, and is sinking to her waist in mud, needless to say her mom will notbe happy when she comes home covered in foul smelling mud from head to toe

I don't sink too deep, I think she would be less dense than the mud? It would still be dangerous, if no one would help she would be a risk of starving or death by the elements. Mythbusters rocks haha XD

Alex: Gah! *grabs you (him?) and pulls you out of the mud as much as she can, after a couple seconds of struggling Alex and you crawl out the side of the swamp, both filthy* Well.. that was fun... True, I'd ground you for going there as swamps are best avoided. Not that they can always help, I have family who died this way in WW1 and their friendsΒ were around.

Yeah at Flanders in Belgium in the trenches. They were low lands that are always waterlogged and with all the cannon fire and winter rain made worse. As many drowned as killed by machine gun fire.

"If you have too be late be late rather then unsafe. Grounding/spanking you doesn't work, we all know that. You do a great deal and it may take longer, did you know you were going too be later then usual? I mostly do, if so say so and we can plan around it and I won't mind if your home later. Now go get all that mud and slime washed off!"

I've had this happen to me. It was when I was playing disc golf one time. One minute I'm high and dry, the next I have watered down skivvies.

In the woods, by a river. One of the other players' disc went off the path, so I volunteered to rescue it. It didn't help that it had been raining all week.
