*Update* added a bit of a vignette/Shadow to put more focus on the eye. May tweak it some more, but I think it already looks better! (Thank you for the suggestions!)

This is a very difficult piece for me to critique because I actually love almost everything you have done with it! Very good rendering of the fur, your tones blend smoothly and I can actually feel like the hairs are layered. The eye is well detailed and the reflection tells a interesting story, there is a good use of subtle cool tones thrown in that balances the image out and overall its just so good!
But as far as critique goes, my only feedback would be that the area on the right of the image draws a bit too much attention away from the detail of the eye. I am unsure if this was intended. I do like your composition so I wouldn't recommend a crop but perhaps creating a vignette effect or just adding some darker tones onto the right side would draw more attention to the main focus of the eye. Again it is just a small issue and definitely doesn't take away from a pretty picture! Good job with this one and I hope this comment helps! ^^

Thank you so much! You know.... that is exactly what's been bothering me too, I just could not put my finger on it. Thanks! I'll see what I can do with it - a vignette maybe, or perhaps just a bit of shadow on the right. Thanks for taking the time, and for the excellent suggestion.

This is beautiful work. Simple looking but yet has a great depth to it. The reflection in they eye, tells a story. You can still see the eye detail with the reflection. It may have taken you time, but you nailed it! This would so work in a kids book...or a print...ect. Β Β
