Is it just me or are the pages getting darker and darker? I had to crank the brightness on my screen to 100% see some of the smaller details in the background that were otherwise lost before, like the trees and the leaves scattered on the ground.
In a way the characters would get the same amount as light as everything near them, unless they glow. I know its night time so the only source you would have is the moon and on a rainy night tough luck. Only thing I can think of is try a lightning effect to brighten everything.
I'm only mentioning it because I'm sure you spent time on the little details and if I were you I wouldn't want them to be sucked into the dark abyss.
Other than that, they're very cute and well done as usual on the fur effects
