Description
This is the map of Valescus, the continent where this setting's stories take place in. Heavily based on Europe and fantasy adventures based on European myth.

Valescus is a proud continent: A variety of cultures inhabit these lands, though their relationships are uneasy. Due to the abundance of wars and border conflicts in recent decades, The Noble Elf, Allioc I: King of the Eldin, and Grand King of Vinissia decided to set up the Adventurers' System. While monsters, bandits and other ill willed creatures raid towns, attack farms and such, the armies of Valescus could not be expected to be able to respond to these threats at all times, independent groups and contractors known as Adventurers are asked and paid to undertake quests to keep their lands safe. While controversial, many communities thank Adventurers helping and protecting them, and due to the amount of coin saved on what would otherwise be military expenses, the program is continued. Here is a quick overview of the countries making up Valescus:

1. Iberes: Known for their ethnically diverse human populations from all over the world, sun shines brightly in this country. This land often makes ventures into other continents to varying success. This has brought it into conflict with Lizardmen often, as their lands are often occupied by the Iberians
2. Albec: A young human nation, Albec is known for its archers, unique sense of humor, and relaxing drinks and potions, though many do not like its food cuisine. It is also a member of the Vinissian Kingdoms.
3. Eldin: The homeland of the Elves and birthplace of the late Allioc I, and current King Venitis and the exiled Lucassius, Eldin is a cultural center, with many tourists coming to enjoy its towns and cities. Their wines are world-renowned, yet they are often seen as holier than thou and arrogant by other countries
4. Kerzinland: Homeland of the Dwarfs, Kerzinland is renowned for their hardy military, moountainous terrain, and grand cities built into those mountains. They have a culture bound to honor, and despise those who break promises, and are weary of outsiders. They have great beer and alcohol as well, though are often seen as inflexible by other peoples. Sheyrak Grovebeard calls this country her home.
5. Piedirna: A collection of principalities rather than a unified nation, Piedirna is known for its excellent cuisine, but also noteable is that it has no national armies: Instead they rely solely on Adventurers and Mercenaries to defend their cities and merchant caravans.
6. Zydrek: A cold nation famed for their domestication and military use of Bears. They are a proud and religious folk of humans, and are often told that they remember events for generations even if the Zydrekkian in question wasn't present.
7. Norden: Not as much an actual state as it is a wildland of human tribes and clans, seen as primitive by most, and often raiding the northern lands of Valescus. This land was the birthplace of Freya Northskin
8. Wildreach Steppes: Vast, open lands where monsters roam. Any attempt to settle or colonise these lands is met with seeminly co-ordinated monster attacks, as well as raids by Undead.
9. Antolin Desert/Charasion: Used as a connecting point between continents, this desert serves as the supply route between the Desert People and Valescus, though rife with Giant Scorpions and other such monsters!
