I totally agree with the concept.
I've always wanted to see Zuko holding Azula hostage or something with those swords after a fierce battle...... in a lovely sort of way.

I'd like to see them fight...because Azula kicked Zuko's butt already without using her bending at all!
All she did was blast him for a blow that could have just as easily been plain physical....
It would be a REALLY cool battle, two martial artists on one another without their bending....
Though, also, the Fire Nation code of honor would probably keep Zuko from even THINKING about this...there are so many dishonorable things in that sort of event that the only way to make it equal would be for him to throw them away....I mean, waiting until his own SISTER can't defend herself properly to go and attack her with SWORDS....???
It's an interesting concept, but I would be disappointed.
I can't wait to see the overall character development there, though....Azula's going to be afraid for once.
Well, three times...she was frightened with the first revelation of the eclipse, when Aang broke the rock beneath her, and when Katara grabbed her with the water arms....yep....

The whole honour thing: I thought of that once I'd drawn this. Zuko's pose, and his expression, just don't look like him. If it happened in the manner that I've drawn it, I'd be disappointed.
What I was thinking (but didn't manage to draw) was more that tension builds between them and something happens on the Day of Black Sun that sparks a confrontation. Zuko doesn't know about the eclipse yet, so I hadn't really considered it a planned thing. More when confronting Azula on DoBS, he realises neither of them can bend, and they both end up sword fighting (because you're right, he couldn't attack her unarmed).
I also didn't imagine Zuko winning overall (the eclipse ends?) or if he did win, backing off and running because he -is- too honourable to defeat Azula properly when she can't bend. What I was looking forward to more was, as you say, Azula's reaction, should they fight.

Azula with swords....THAT would be the sweetest thing since Zuko turned on those fire whips.
Actually, I can picture her with a quarterstaff or something like that....a big hefty pole.

Probably not. I'm working on a multi-page comic strip that'll probably be eating most of my art time 'til Season Three Finale. It'll be worth it though!
