Solzhenitsyn is an Soviet Russian writer whom I respect most. He stayed in Gulag (Soviet Concentration Camp) for 8 years. He wrote "Gulag Archipelago" and "One day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich" and won the novel prize. He describes tragedy but we can fee love, gentleness and humor from him. He taught me that criticism doesn't conflict with patriotism. He was a communist and loved Russia even if he was almost died in Gulag.
