Nietzche & intoxication, he had so many great quotes! "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” Did you know that many animals find ways of achieving intoxication? Birds, monkeys, elephants, all ingest fermented fruit until they can barely walk/fly. In fact, there have been stampedes of drunken elephants killing unwary humans. Wallabies in Tasmania go for the poppy fields and the opium; reindeer, Big Horn Sheep and even jaguars go for hallucinogenics, from mushrooms and other sources. I suppose there is an inherent need for most species to achieve some type of state of intoxication. I wonder where their art is & why we can't see it? Me- crazy? No, just a little strange..
