I adore Peridot.... It's just so pretty! I almost kept this one for myself, but I made it a fraction too small. I've promised myself that I'll make another one just for me.
Stone is a 5mm faceted square Peridot. The shank is 3mm wide and is hammer textured which has been enhanced by engraved dot-work on and around the stone setting. It is finished to a soft polish, which does not easily show the knocks and bumps of normal wear the way that a high polish does.

Love the rugged texture on the ring and the way you have set it on the diagonal. I know what you mean with the high finish on silver that doesn't last very long on a ring. I usually finish off with a brass scratch brush which helps a bit.
