Very Earthy, and so decorated, reminds of African art. Makes me think of a page in Poesiealbum, decorated and short, on a square.
What's the material - canvas mounted on iron rods? Or a sheet of metal?

StephanusEmbricanus In reply to Ratafluke [2008-05-22 11:03:59 +0000 UTC]

African Art the connection is the colour Eathcolour, Poesiealbum? I see more a wall with graffiti
The material: canvas stitched on iron rods (Moniereisen)

Ratafluke In reply to StephanusEmbricanus [2008-05-22 12:00:03 +0000 UTC]

African art connection, yes, the colors, but the shape/style of the painted patterns as well.

Poeasiealbum because there's three short written lines lines, like a Poesieablumspruch, on a square format ('cos Poesiealbumseiten are square) and around the Spruch you draw decorations, though usually not in an African style ;]

Nice idea: The page out of friendship-book of mother earth

but decoration is the wrong word in connection with art

I am not the Earth, so I cannot read it. But I am a part of her, so I understand
What was said is not exactly what is understood, but rather how she feels about the message

I do not know how she feels, but you made a nice statement

Yes, it does seem a little angry, as if to say everyone is being stupid.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StephanusEmbricanus In reply to cosmicbound [2008-05-19 06:09:52 +0000 UTC]

Oh does it sound that way?
Wasn't meant!!!
My intention was more to tease people to an interpretation

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cosmicbound In reply to StephanusEmbricanus [2008-05-19 07:21:38 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but that was my interpretation. Note, it isn't a bad one - it isn't like a teasing text. It's more of a "why do humans persist on doing such stupid things" kind, it's a message telling us to stop being stupid, to enlighten ourselves.

The textures and the colors blend quite well with the feeling of it. And it really goes well the the concept.
The framing is just the cherry on top of it all.

no....lol....actually it says:

"the earth is the most important thing in our lives, we are part of it and it is part of us, it is through the earth that we contact our absolute essence - that which bonds us to each other and to the universe and until we realise that the problems that we are experiencing will not be resolved"
