I think the ashtray with the cigarette butts is what makes it more appealing to me. It's not your typical still-life. I like the honesty of your work.

The still life is not so typical for me at all, I hated it and I had to do a lot of them

I know what you mean. Normally I would not enjoy painting or drawing a still life, but it is probably a good part of training as an artist. Now I can see why you are such an amazing artist. You've had a well rounded education in art. It shows.

I can't stop looking at all the objects in this painting!..........They have all got so much detail in them.I love the pot of paintbrushes just waiting to be used.....and the discarded cigarette ends.....dimps we call them!(don't know what you call them Stefan!!!!)..D...and the crumpled packet!.............add wonderfully oily ,subtle colours .......
